Sensitivity and Specificity of Heru Prime in the Diagnosis of Relative Afferent Pupillary Defect

Purpose

To evaluate the use of Heru Prime in the diagnosis of Relative Afferent Pupillary Defect (RAPD) and evaluate its diagnostic performance.

Methods

In this prospective case control study, Heru Prime was used to perform the pupil examination of 146 consecutive patients. Patients were examined by a masked, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist. The diagnosis of RAPD was noted to determine the accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of Heru Prime in detecting RAPD.

Results

Heru Prime showed excellent accuracy in the diagnosis of RAPD, with an accuracy of 99%, sensitivity of 94%, and specificity of 100%.
