Purpose
To evaluate the use of Heru Prime in the diagnosis of eye motility restrictions (EMR) and evaluate its diagnostic performance.
Methods
In this prospective case-control study, Heru Prime was used to perform the extraocular motility examination (EOM) for 113 consecutive patients. Patients were examined by a masked, fellowship-trained ophthalmologist. The diagnosis of restrictions in EOM was noted to determine the accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity of Heru Prime in detecting eye motility restrictions.
Results
Heru Prime showed high accuracy in the diagnosis of EMR, with an accuracy of 0.9, sensitivity of 0.8, and specificity of 0.9.
Conclusion
Heru Prime has strong diagnostic performance in detecting eye motility restrictions compared to clinical diagnosis.
